A Goodbye Message from two CSV Volunteers

Life is full of surprises and with this feeling inside we started to work at HAIL.
For nine months we volunteers lived with two service users. We have shared and learned some valuable things which started as a challenge.
Every step has taught us some thing new, for example English as our second language. Thank you Apu you helped us so much. Working with people with learning difficulties has helped us understand the meaning of life. We know that the basic communication with a human being is not merely with words but through our inner feelings and expressions. We had to become more empathetic in order to understand how the service users were feeling. We’ve had our tough moments trying to rationalize that which seems irrational. We are grateful for this and cherish every valuable moment. It has widened our point of view and we have become more persistent in pursuit of our goals.

- A Raffle
- Bingo
Ticket price £6 (Includes food, unlimited soft drinks, bingo and raffle entry)
