Outreach Services

Welcome to the floating support service

The floating support service currently supports 46 service users with their independent living skills.

We have nine full time staff, one part time staff member and six community service volunteers.

Our community service volunteers work across our supported accommodation houses for a period of up to one year. They come from as far a field as Colombia, Japan, Korea, Nigeria, France, and Taiwan. They gain valuable work experience that they can use upon their return to their home countries. They have given and shared many new life experiences with our service users and we very much value their time and effort.

Quality Assessment Framework

One of the fundamental aims of our service is to support service users to maintain their tenancies so that they do not go through a cycle of eviction, homelessness and poverty.

The team carries out its duties under the Supporting People Guidelines and Quality Assessment Framework.

Our service is judged on its performance by a reviewing authority Haringey Council. They carry out their review by using the quality assessment framework. The framework has six core objectives and eleven supplementary of which our service has scored a C grade, we are working towards a grade B by 2006.

The Core Objectives are;

  • Needs and Risk assessment
  • Support Planning
  • Security Health and Safety
  • Protection From Abuse
  • Fair access Diversity and Inclusion
  • Complaints

Person Centred Approach

Our service - as part of its person centred planning approach - works hard in assisting service users to access college, employment and leisure facilities within the community.

Working with families, professionals and advocates at the wishes of the service users is part of our person centred approach.
