Step 1 – Phone us

Give us a call on 020 8809 4442 and we’ll take some details and talk to you about what sort of support you would like, your skills, where you live and so on….

Step 2 – Finding out what you want

A HAIL manager will come and meet with you at a time and a place that suits you. In this meeting we can answer any questions you have and  find out what sort of staff you want to employ.

This meeting will help us write a job description and person specification for the staff you want to employ.

Step 3 – The price

After the meeting HAIL will add up  how much you would need  to pay HAIL to get the staff you want.

One you have the price you can then decide if you want to spend your Individual Budget on this sort of service. If you are happy we will ask you to read and sign our agreement that will say in clear language what you want us to do and how we will do it.

Step 4 – Job advert

HAIL will put  a job advert in places that the sort of people you want to work for you will see them.

Step 5 – Deciding who to meet

We will show you all the application forms that we have had from people who want to work for you.  We will help you decide which people you want to meet.

Step 6 – Choosing who you want to work for you

We will work with you to plan the best way for you to make an informed choice about who you choose to work with you.

Step 7: Checking the people you chose

We will check that the person you have chosen has not broken the law (CRB check) and will find out if they are good workers form people who have worked with them before.

Step 8: Training

HAIL will train the staff you have chosen in the things you want them to know.

Step 9: Paper work

We will help you with tailoring policies, procedures and job contracts to what you need for your staff.

Step 10: Paying staff

Our finance team will make sure that your staff get paid and also pay things like Tax and National Insurance.

How long until I can get my own staff?

Employing your own staff can take around  3 months, but it may take longer.  If you need support straight away let us know and HAIL staff can support you until you can get your own staff.
