Arts for Creative Hearts supports local people who work in the arts to run workshops for people with a learning disability

Arts

What do we do?

Our two creative groups Arts for Creative Hearts and Walter and Mary meet every Thursday. The group is a friendly and supportive environment for people with learning disabilities, Autism and other support needs.

Arts for Creative Hearts gives people a chance to experiment in a range of artistic mediums including print, paint, collage and modelling. The group is run by local artists who are experienced in supporting people with a range of needs.

Walter and Mary is our sewing group that meets every week at Tottenham Town Hall in North London. Walter and Mary sell the things they make in local markets and use the money to buy new materials. We can support you to:

  • Learn to sew and knit
  • Share new sewing and knitting skills
  • Find out how to follow patterns
  • Make things you can sell

Hours are 10-12 and 1-3pm

The cost per session is £3.00 or £5.00 for both sessions

You are welcome to make friends and have your lunch at the Town Hall between sessions.

Extra support

If you need support to get to Tottenham Town Hall we can arrange a Travel Mate to support you to get there and back home.
